A few months ago I had the pleasure of taking a few of these GORGEOUS pieces for a whirl in front of my camera. Um…can I just say LOVE?! Vintage styling, wonderfully soft fabrics, super sweet and girly…. oooh it’s just delicious. No wonder the label is called DOLLCAKE. Everything is just perfect for little girls who are totally into frill and fluff, pink and candy-sweet. I can totally imagine some of the pieces being used as the most adorable vintage styled flowergirl outfits, or for that special occasion party. And of course, it goes without saying that Dollcake has all the key pieces for an absolutely stunning outfit for your next photoshoot!

Just look how absolutely STUNNING these headbands are by Shabbyrose by Nicole! Sooo pretty, and so nicely made. I could not WAIT to put these to the test on my little girls. Lilly did not want to take hers off (which is always a good sign, that girl is fuuuussy!). Zoe took more convincing, but that could be because I kept trying to take photos of her right on naptime. Silly mama. I love that these have such gorgeous vintage styling, but with a modern twist in gorgeous fresh colour combinations. I have my eye on SO MANY more, because my daughters obviously need one to go with each outfit They make a great addition to any photographer’s prop wardrobe, and clients if you turn up with your little girls in these headbands, I guarantee I’ll be thrilled-to-pieces happy.

I should call him Sweet little WIDE AWAKE Andrew ‘Cause that’s what he was nearly the entire session. Wide awake and squirming around. Maybe it’s something about first babies… they’re so awake and aware of everything going on. Maybe they’re just so happy to be out of the womb they don’t want to close their eyes for a second and miss out on anything! Whatever it was, little mister Andrew was not having any of my baby settling techniques, and I only managed to get a handful of sleepy sweet shots. But nevermind, he’s absolutely darling anyhow.

My latest knitting pattern is FINALLY done!! I have been meaning to get this released since.. umm.. january LOL. But anyway, so what if it’s August already.
